In our continued pursuit to improve medical care delivered to our patients and to remain the premier healthcare facility in the region, I am now proud to announce that the institution will be integrating the use of telehealth technology in our healthcare provision operations. This is a crucial development in our approach to the provision of healthcare services as it comes with numerous advantages for our organization, our patients, and the healthcare industry in general.

Telehealth solutions will improve the efficiency of our processes and cut down on the time and resources necessary for patient consultations, which will enable the institution to serve more patients while maintaining high standards of care. Moreover, reducing the demand for face-to-face interactions will help to decrease operational expenses related to facilities, staff, and support, and unnecessary emergency admissions. Adopting the telehealth services, the organization shall be able to improve the organization's image and attract patients interested in progressive care solutions and qualified healthcare professionals willing to practice in a progressive environment.

With the implementation of Telehealth, patients will have easy and convenient access to healthcare providers since they will not need to travel and will also save time. Training and Implementation Timeline

In an effort to enable a smooth transition to telehealth services, we have designed a training program aimed at covering every level of our healthcare personnel. The training will cover:

1. Telehealth Technology Overview: An outline of the platforms and tools to be employed in the training.
2. Best Practices for Telehealth Consultations: A set of suggestions for the enhanced implementation of virtual consultations and the protection of patients’ private data.
3. Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Service guidelines on some of the technical challenges that can be worked out in order to enhance service delivery.

Training Schedule:

• Phase 1 (Weeks 1-2): Project overview and goals, tasks and activities, roles of the project leader and technical staff.
• Phase 2 (Weeks 3-4): Daily theoretical and practical sessions conducted for all caregiving professionals that include the use of simulation equipment.
• Phase 3 (Week 5): The last training and evaluation with regard to any issues or queries that may still be pending.

Go-Live Date

Our proposed schedule for commencing the telehealth services is August 1, 2024, which provides enough time to train and develop the services to be offered.
