Life Reflection

It is without a doubt that different qualities picked throughout our life shape how we turn out in life, influencing our personal lives and our professions (Mayer and Karl). As a law student at the renowned Stanford University, I still ponder how life's journey has transformed me into who I am today. The more I immerse myself in this field of law, the more I see specific characteristics that are opposites of the person I was between the ages of six and sixteen. However, despite these multiple shifts, several characteristics have not changed over the years and have become the foundation of my identity.

Growing up in New York from the tender age of 6, I was always a playful child, full of dreams and imagination. I was fascinated by the city's fast-paced life from a young age. Mainly, I was fascinated by my father, whom I barely saw throughout the week and only saw on the weekend. This fascination was one of the things that sparked curiosity in me. However, as I stand on the precipice of adulthood, that childlike wonder has been replaced with critical thinking brought about by education and critical debates (Lerner and Richard).

My view at the age of 16 was of a typical teen influenced by their surroundings. I was more into video games and, most of the time, did not have much academic interest. However, this changed during my high school senior years. My view during that time was limited to the gaming world, and for one time, I even wanted to become a professional gamer when I grew up. I was so committed to the gaming world that sometimes, I got into issues with my parents, especially regarding academics. This commitment to things has played a massive role in most of my work, including my current professional career (Mayer and Karl).

Studying law was a straightforward choice since I was curious to understand more about people's problems and try to solve them. While the passage of time has indelibly marked my evolution, certain core aspects of my character have remained steadfast. The struggles and adversities I faced in academics and personal aspects of my life have been transformed into assets as my resolve to excel has only continued to increase. Furthermore, the compassion that used to be an innocent need to care for people became an excellent ideal of justice that should rule society.

Thinking about all that has been achieved so far, I feel proud and grateful for realizing my dreams. The road has been long and rough, with its share of highs and lows that have strengthened me as a person. Different qualities picked on the way have been significant in reaching me where I am ((Lerner and Richard). Still, I rise high with confidence as I see that a quest for legal education has its price. Still, it is significant for professional success and personal change as a lifelong journey.

Guided by my love for the law and commitment to the principles of justice, I am ready to embrace any further challenges and consider it a pleasure to serve with honour. The courtroom, which once used to scare me and remain mysterious, is now inviting me with the challenge and the opportunity to do something and impact the world. I picture myself as a lawyer who uses his words and intellect to fight for the oppressed and ensure their minor or significant injustices are addressed.

I can confidently say that the little aspects I learned from each period throughout the year have shaped me into the person I am right now. With confidence, I believe that with passion and a desire to learn, I shall be a great lawyer and contribute significantly to bringing about change in society.
