Subject: Urgent Appeal Regarding Denial of Benefits

I am writing to inform you how much I am concerned that one of my clients, whom I have worked with since 2021, will be losing out on their benefits and important support services, consequently. The move has genuinely impacted her in the way that she lives from day to day and the way that she cares for herself and her children. She is also forced to begin from the beginning because the services being removed have brought her back to square one, eliminating all the development as well as support.

The client has a number of long-term health problems, such as dyslexia, foot problems, and learning disabilities. These are long-term implications that will never improve with age. It is a lifetime challenge to be unable to read, process, and integrate information as effortlessly as other people. All these are persistent factors that make her fail to pass any tests, secure a job, and carry out everyday tasks. For this client, job coaching and wellness are essential, never optional. These are the methods through which she gets organizational and functional support, enabling her to lead a dignified life and achieve maximum independence. She is unable to find fulfilling employment, manage her illness, and continue to be a parent without them.

She is unable to work freely and full-time due to her physical limitations, and in a busy place. Since her birth defect causes her skin to crack and her pain whenever she is exposed to chemicals or has to take long walking shifts, her sole viable option is to stay home. She also suffers from asthma and anemia, which are the two chronic conditions that only complicate her search for jobs. Dr. To combat the situation, Pruna, her physician, advised her not to drive long distances and stand in a long-term position since this could cause fatigue and place much strain on the body. These measures imply that she is only allowed to work half-time or between 20 and 25 hours a week, and better still, she could do it at home. Not paying attention to these limits does not make them less real; it just makes it more likely that someone will get hurt mentally or physically.

When her benefits are refused, she loses the ability to access certain services to help her survive and be healthy. Vocational rehabilitation often has limits and provides support until a certain point, after which the client thinks they are stable, even though the client may not be ready to live and work independently. Even the very resources that assure continuity of progress are denied when Social Security becomes unpaying to give some benefits. This leaves the people with chronic illnesses uncalibrated and incapable of remaining at a balanced position, therefore, causing a regressive effect instead of empowerment. Hence, it is not only my client and her children who are used to being stable and are exposed to her care as well who are affected.

The stripping away of support is highly destructive, emotionally and psychologically. Depression, stress, and feeling powerless are all aggravated by the fact that the system that needs to be there when you most require the system hurts them. By eliminating the essentials, the system of Social Security is unwillingly complicating the lives of even the individuals whom the system is meant to safeguard.

Please reconsider this decision and return the benefits that are required. My client requires continuous medical assistance, health coaching, and employment coaching. Foot issues, dyslexia, anemia, asthma, and allergies are just some of the enduring learning disabilities that she suffers from. These cannot be cured or reversed. The only solution is to provide her with stable, lifetime support that will improve the way that she feels, the way that she is able to assist the children, and live with dignity.

Respectfully,
